Helpful Hounds Assistance Dogs was delighted with the service and terms that we received from Insignis when setting up our savings accounts. The personal help and information we received when making our choice of providers was invaluable. Added to that, the method of applying for accounts using a single form, together with the ease of transferring the money, made the whole process straightforward.
Before Insignis we spent a great deal of time filling in endless forms, getting together the right signatories, and researching where to place our funds - during which time the markets might well have moved. Signing up with Insignis has removed all of that, and we are now able to place funds in a matter of minutes, with no additional forms to complete. We have access to the best rates, and choose only from institutions that meet our investment policy.
We find Insignis so easy to work with. As a small credit union, we would spend a disproportionate amount of time seeking the best rates and then having to complete all the paperwork necessary to open accounts. Now our Treasurer can access all the information and once approved by the Board, the investments are straightforward to make.
Insignis Asset Management Ltd (trading names “Insignis” and “Insignis Cash”). Insignis is incorporated in England & Wales with company number 9477376. The company’s registered address is St Johns Innovation Centre, Cowley Road, Cambridge CB4 0WS.
We support both sole and dual authority models for account signatories.
Sole authority: A designated individual can request the placement, movement, or withdrawal of funds without needing approval from a second party.
Dual authority: Each signatory is assigned a role—either requestor or approver.
The requestor initiates the transaction The approver must review and approve the request before it can be processed This setup provides flexibility depending on your internal governance and control requirements.
Clients can generate three reports from the platform:
Portfolio Summary: an overview of all the funds they hold with Insignis.
Transaction History: a list of all movements on the client’s account, for any period, including details of charges applied.
Interest Received: a summary of all the interest the client has received across all the products they hold in their portfolio.
Yes, we offer US dollar (USD) and Euro (EUR) accounts to individual, joint, corporate, charity and trust clients.
Your organisation always retains beneficial ownership of the funds placed via the Insignis platform. From the moment money leaves your linked account to be placed on deposit, through to when it’s returned, it remains your asset.
Insignis operates under a Bare Trust structure, where we act as trustee. This means that your organisation, as the beneficiary, maintains full rights to both the capital (your deposits) and any income generated (such as interest earned).
In the event that a deposit-taker on our panel were to fail, this structure allows the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) to look through Insignis as the account holder and recognise each beneficiary, such as a charitable organisation or credit union, as a separate claimant.
Under a bare trust, beneficiaries are considered to have absolute entitlement to their funds, which supports eligibility for FSCS protection (where applicable).
You can find more information and check your eligibility by visiting Information for charities | FSCS.
When you open an account with Insignis, you're entering into a contract with us—not with the individual banks and building societies on our panel. This means you won’t have a direct relationship with those deposit-takers.
All instructions for placing, moving, or withdrawing funds need to be made through Insignis. If you ever need support, our client services team is here to help—whether it’s with transactions or any questions about your account.
